Chili For A Chilly Day

So today, as I drove to pick Honey up from work at 7:30 am, I thought to myself, "It's flippin' cold out here!!". Granted, I was only wearing my PJ's and slippers, it still was 56 degrees out which I think is chilly! Fall is definitely in the air and I'm lovin' it!!

As I drove, I pondered what fall-like dishes I could prepare for dinner tonight. I recently made beef stew and chicken stew so they were out of the running. Pasta was already served this week. So I settled on my favorite Chili recipe, Bush's Three Bean Chili. MMMmmmmm!

It has just the right amount of spice, not too little, not too much. And the Cumin adds an awesome smoky flavor. We serve ours over rice and topped with sour cream and cheddar.

Take a peek see.....Now, is that a rib stickin' Fall meal or what?

Well that does look delish! I'm dreaming about it being in the 50's!! We are still so hot (87) and muggy....I can't wait.

Ahhh Manuela, 87 still? What part of the country are you in? It's supposed to get into the mid eighties tomorrow and through the weekend here as well. yuck!!

Interesting combination! I'll have to try that one. Pete (a.k.a. Mr. Blogger) loves rice. Tonight it's going to be either pirogies or grilled cheeses. Not sure which yet! :)

Oh and btw Lady Blogger, I tried the Momma Rosies manicotti the other night for a quick dinner and Honey loved them!! He thought I made them from scratch. I also didn't tell him ;)

Good job! :)

We ended up having the grilled cheese. Tonight it's going to be dinner out somewhere! Long week, rain, Friday evening, how can we not?!
